What’s better than a dive in the crystal-clear water of Lake Idro, to cool off during a hot summer day or after an intense bike ride?
The whole lake is swimmable and there are several public beaches where also dogs are allowed.
The top 3 Lake Idro’s beaches are:
1- “Spiaggeta”, in Anfo
2- Spiaggia di Vesta (Idro)
3- Spiaggia di Ponte Caffaro (Bagolino)
Anfo’s beaches
Its most popular beach is “Spiaggetta”, where there is a bar, a beach volleyball field, e-bike rental, windsurf e Sup. Dogs are allowed.
Idro’s beaches
They are spread all over the village, from Crone to Vesta.
In Lemprato and in Crone you can lie down and relax yourself under the trees. Nearby this beach there is a playground, a bar, ice cream shops, restaurants and the ferry stop.
The “wildest” beach is the one in Parole, close to a wood, while, the most popular beach in Idro is the one of Vesta, which is very large. It is also the starting point of a trekking trail.
Ponte Caffaro’s beaches
Bagolino’s area is very wide and, one of its fractions is Ponte Caffaro, which is located on the lake side and it offers large beaches, a beach volleyball field, camper parks and an excellent kitesurfing school.
