This is the most ancient church in the village and it dates back to the X° (tenth) century.
It is located in a located but strategic position, on the top of the hill.
From the colonnaded porch you can enjoy an amazing view over the Gulf of Salò and the Lake Garda.
Church’s interior has a single nave with columns and here, you can admire 4 side altars, a decorated pulpit and some frescoes.
Above the entrance there is a balcony with an organ; the apse is illuminated by two glass windows, which are decorated with figures of saints. In the middle of the apse there is also the altarpiece of Zenon Veronese: “La Madonna col Bambino Gesù e i Santi Pietro, Paolo, Caterina e Lucia”.
On the main altar, you can admire “La Deposizione della Croce” which is a 1904 copy realized by the painter Arturo castelli, while the original work of art is in the Pinacoteca of Brescia.
Outside the church, the facade is characterized by a porch and two niches with Saints statues.
