Serle is known far beyond the provincial boundaries for its spit (spiedo), which since 2010 has received the De.Co the municipal name. A precise specification has been drawn up for the correct preparation of the skewers to which the restaurateurs from Serle have promised to adapt. Every year a gastronomic review “Scents of Spit” is offered and the local association for promoting the territory takes part in many events to introduce the traditional spit from Serle.
