The presence of old centres surrounded by new houses is a constant feature of the various districts. In Cedessano, we are greeted by the majestic parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, built in 1779 on the remains of the ancient parish church, dominating a vast horizon from the high hill on which it is built.
The interior is in an opulent late Baroque style, while the low bell tower and part of the apse are still in Romanesque style. The main altar in marble is dominated by a beautiful canvas depicting the Assumption.
The church has four side altars dedicated to the SS. Apostles, Our Lady of the Rosary, St. Joseph and St. Rocco. The first organ came in 1865 from the Girardini house in Brescia. The two confessionals are the work of the artisan workshop Bonomi from Avenone.
