The Terme di Vallio are immersed in the surrounds of a lush green park which stretches for around 40,000 square metres. The suggestive pinewood and large gardens rich with arboreal and floral species allows contact with nature. The microclimate typical of the valley makes this place an ideal location to rejuvenate mind and body, leaving behind the stress and tension of daily life. Inside the wellness centre are facilities to play bowls, children’s games and ping pong or relax in the bar and listen to musical entertainment. Outside the centre is an ideal walking track which leads through the pinewoods. Fresh mineral water ready for drinking, trickles from the Castle Spring. There is also a section of the centre which is equipped for inhalation treatments. The Castle Water of the Terme di Vallio is a bicarbonate-alkaline water which has a low mineral content. It is indicated for the treatment of the digestive, intestinal and urinary systems. The water shows remarkable benefits for the intestinal system, stimulating the processes of digestion and assimilation within a trophic and protective capacity of the hepatic cells together with a functional biliary and pancreatic stimulus.

The water helps to alleviate hyperstenic gastritis of the stomach (increased secretion and excessive contraction). The water benefits the intestine by relieving symptoms of diarrhea and also contributing to the restoration of lost mineral salts. Regarding the chronic pathology of the gall-bladder (or colecyst), the Castello Water consists of anti-inflammatory and anti-spastic qualities. The water also assists the body’s bile ducts with two mechanisms: the choloretic mechanism that stimulates the fluidity of the bile and the colecystic mechanism stimulates the contraction and depletion of the gall-bladder and of the sphincter of Oddi. Both these healing properties are of notable importance in the pathological treatment of the hepatic calculus and physical disorders of the ducts. Thanks to its properties, the water stimulates and increases the diuretic process. The water also acts as a cleaning agent for the renal ducts. It stabilizes the ph level of the urine and increases the metabolic scoriae and toxins. Adequate consumption of the water eliminates calculus or concentrations of nitrates and diminishes uric acid formation. The amounts of calculus emitted during the treatment vary. The activity of inhibition with respect to the precipitation of uric acid in the kidneys prevents the re-formation of the calculus.
