Art and Culture

Valle Sabbia is rich with historical settlements, religious edifices, castles and fortifications, such as the Rocca d’Anfo which dates back to the Napoleonic period. There are signs of the prehistoric age, with finds from Rhaetian-Roman settlements in Idro, the Middle Age and the Venetian domination until the events of the last wars. These are visible at the Archeological Museum of Gavardo. Each of these historic periods have left behind their signature with edifices of remarkable architectonic interest.

The many churches preserve paintings, carvings and sculptures, such as the superior works of the Boscaì family in Levrange. All these works give emotions to the heart telling about a land in its valuable expressions of art.
